WHY I CREATED "THE HOLE"!

One of my many goals in writing this story was to portray a strong and positive father-figure (Willis Beeker). I am tired of seeing so many negative portrayals of fathers, especially on American television. So often they are weak-willed men, of little moral fiber, constantly the butt of jokes and not role models for young men/women.

With Willis, I wanted to instead create the kind of father as a role model for young folks making their way in the world. And I provided my female characters in the family with equally admirable traits and made them strong drivers of the plot. Not that everyone is perfect! For example, his daughters Becca and Ashley are not above using deception to get what they want. But is that the right thing to do? All characters will be morally tested in this highly entertaining epic story!
